New artist: Cyril Doisneau

Cyril was born in Nantes, France, in 1978, and studied Applied Arts in Nantes and Visual Arts in Angoulême. He specialized in comic book illustration, and received his diploma in 2002. In the same year he won the prestigious young talent prize at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. His first book, 184, rue Beaubien, was published by La Pastèque in 2009. Since then he’s published Objets, in 2011, and Le Havre-New-York, in 2012, also with La Pastèque. Cyril lives and works in Montreal, where he’s working on a book on Montreal foods.
