Thaïla Khampo

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a new artist at Sur ton mur: Thaïla Khampo.

We discovered Thaïla's work a few years ago when he contacted Miss Illustration looking for advice on how to prepare an illustration estimate. It was love at first sight for his work and since then we have been following his career.

Thaïla Khampo is an illustrator of Cambodian origin living in Quebec since he was little. Like many other professional illustrators, he always had a love for drawing and composition, which led him to study art and later become a graphic designer before making the jump to illustration.

He draws his inspiration from the visual universe around us, enjoying taking the time to look at what is currently being created in art. Thaïla has a special admiration for the surrealism of René Magritte and Canadian artist Geoff Mcfetridge.

For Thaïla, illustration is like another language, making it possible to communicate complexes messages using images. He is fond of flat colors, textures and tense compositions.

We have selected 8 of his artwork that we particularly liked for their composition and colors. Available in multiple formats, we are confident that you too will fall in love with his art.
