Laurent Pinabel
Laurent Pinabel, designer and illustrator he has conceptualized and produced numerous visual artwork for France and Quebec cultural landscapes, within agencies and as a freelance.
In 2001, he moved to Montreal and joined the orangetango team as artistic director to finally become independent in 2005. He continued his research and work around the image (and mainly the poster) with for "The best service for a customer is not to give them exactly what they want.” His recognizable approach is also called upon for various collaborations, testimonies and workshops.
Apart from the orders related to the studio, Laurent developed a parallel career in illustration.
His work is often rewarded nationally and internationally in design and illustration.
Its posters integrate the collection of the museum of fine arts of Quebec and are also requested for various publications in Canada, in the United States (ed. Rockport, Archive ...) as well as in China (International Design Yearbook / MDX), in Mexico (Biennale Intl. 2014 and 2018 in Mexico City and Segunda Llamada 2015), in Bolivia (Biennales Intl. 2015, 2017 and 2019), in Russia (Biennale Intl. the Design Strelka in Moscow, 2016), in Poland (Biennale Intl theatre poster, 2018) and in Ecuador (International Poster Biennial 2018).
